Welcome to the LIRC Config User Guide

LIRC Config creates your custom configuration files for LIRC, the standard Linux Infrared Remote Control software.

LIRC Config makes it easier to integrate LIRC (and Media PC software like MythTV) with software and hardware devices:

  • Configure any number of remotes with your Linux Media PC software
  • Generates custom channel-changing scripts
  • Generates custom event-triggers scripts - to, for example, Power on/off a television
  • Remote translator - control any A/V device from any remote(s)

Simply create an LIRC Config settings profile to begin, or LIRC Config Ideas first.
