Note:

• These instructions are based on a default express install of LinuxMCE 0704 using the Express Install DVD.
  
• CommandIR support is not yet available in the current mainstream release.  These instructions are a quick work around.

1. Install LinuxMCE without selecting a remote control or IR blaster
2. Open the LinuxMCE Admin Manager website
3. Choose the mceusb2 Remote - LinuxMCE will install and configure LIRC for it
4. Install your own lircd.conf if not using the MCE remote
5. Download, compile, install, load the 'commandir' driver
1. (optional) Perform hardware Sanity Checks
   
6. Rmmod lirc_mceusb2
7. Modprobe lirc_cmdir
8. Restart LIRC
1. (optional) Perform software Sanity Checks
