Software Configuration (lircrc's)

When your media PC detects you've pressed a button on one of Your Remotes, it needs to know what to do about it.

LIRC uses "lircrc" configuration files to map remote button events to events in software programs. For example, this is where the 'Vol+' button maps to the 'Volume Up' event in your media player.

Add a New Configuration

Click 'Add a New Configuration' to configure any of Your Remotes for a program like MythTV or Xine. Multiple configurations can be added to support multiple programs.

Use the mapping page to select the button(s) that should be mapped to each software event and click 'Save'.

To generate and download your configuration, select some Software Configurations from the main menu and click "Download Selected in 1 lircrc File" or simply download a "Full lircconfig.tar.gz Configuration".
